Testing - For patients interested in antibiotic
treatment of their chronic disease, our laboratory routinely tests for
the presence of mycoplasma antibodies in patients' sera and other body fluids
by ELISA (Enzyme- Linked Immuno-Sorbent Assay), and for the mycoplasma
antigen by the PCR method.
